International School of Languages (ISL) offers a comprehensive Spanish program designed for children in elementary school, catering to a range of skill levels from complete beginners to more advanced learners. Beyond language acquisition, students will explore the rich culture and traditions of Spanish-speaking countries. Throughout the program, students will engage with topics such as greetings and introductions, the alphabet, family, school, numbers, colors, animals, parts of the body and senses, clothing, professions, places in the city, and much more! Each student will be provided with handouts and necessary supplies to support their learning journey. Our classes are led by native Spanish speakers who are experienced, dynamic, and committed to creating a fun and motivating learning environment. We understand that children in K-6 come with a wide range of ages, language abilities, and learning styles. To ensure that every child learns at their own level, our instructors use scaffolding techniques—tailoring lessons and activities to the specific needs and abilities of each student. Younger or beginner students are given foundational support to build confidence, while older or more advanced learners are encouraged to take on more challenging content and deepen their understanding. By providing differentiated instruction, we create a classroom where all children feel included and capable of progressing at their own pace. The program incorporates a variety of engaging activities such as conversation practice, music, flashcards, storytelling, games, and role-playing exercises. These methods, combined with scaffolding and age-appropriate adjustments, foster an inclusive and interactive learning environment that meets the needs of all students. At the end of each week, parents receive an email update from the teacher summarizing what was covered in class, any assigned homework, and additional tips or activities to reinforce learning at home. These updates ensure that parents stay informed and can actively support their child’s language development.
